Individual Therapy

People seek therapy for a myriad of reasons. Some are hoping for healing from past hurts and painful memories. Others are wanting to explore their feelings, beliefs, and behaviors in the hopes of understanding themselves better and gaining insight into their lives. And some are looking for greater clarity on aspects of their life they’d like to change and solutions for doing so. Whatever has led you to this point, I'll work with you to develop a tailored approach to therapy that aligns with your unique needs and goals and ultimately brings you closer to the change you desire.

Parent Guidance

I like to think of raising a family - one that is a source of comfort, safety, and growth - as akin to both creating a work of art and caring for a thriving farm. It’s not a passive process. It takes vision, intentionality, planning, time, attention, patience, passion, and so much more… though admittedly that’s already a lot! Together, we can carve out the necessary time and space for you to think about your children and your family: the strengths and qualities you appreciate; the challenges you’re experiencing; discerning between what you’ve brought from your family of origin and what you want to change; the external factors outside of your control that may be pulling you and your children in different directions; the choices you’ve made; and the steps you need to take to be the parent and family that you want to be.

Group Therapy

Group therapy can be a powerful forum for addressing personal, relationship, and other societal issues in an environment that is safe, supportive, and nonjudgemental. I am currently offering two groups with more to come:

  • TEEN-AGING is a group for high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Click here for more information.

  • Blown Off Course is a group for young adults between the ages of 18-25 who want to work on issues related to mood disorders, including depression and anxiety; substance use; academic or work challenges; building confidence; improving their relationships; and more.

Does group therapy work?

Yes! There’s a significant amount of outcome research demonstrating the effectiveness of group therapy in helping people make positive and lasting changes in their lives. And why not? To experience that you’re not alone, to help and be helped by others, to be supported, to be challenged, to learn about yourself in ways that are uniquely available through this powerful forum - group therapy has all the ingredients to be a transformative experience.
