WELCOME TO BERTHÉ COUNSELING

My name is Alex Berthé. I am a licensed clinical social worker providing psychotherapy services in the Bethesda area.

I see children, adolescents, and young adults for individual therapy. I provide executive functioning coaching. And I also offer parent coaching to parents of pre-school aged (three years old) to school-aged children (eleven years old).

I help people struggling with anxiety, depression, executive functioning challenges, attentional and behavioral issues, family conflicts, relationship difficulties, school-related problems, and adjustment issues related to life transitions.

Why Therapy?

People seek counseling for a myriad of reasons. Some are hoping for healing from past hurts and painful memories. Others are wanting to explore their feelings, beliefs, and behaviors in the hopes of understanding themselves better and gaining insight into their lives. And some are looking for greater clarity on aspects of their life they’d like to change and solutions for doing so. Whatever has led you to this point, I'll work with you to develop a tailored approach to therapy that aligns with your unique needs and goals and ultimately brings you closer to the change you desire.

Choosing the right therapist

I know how difficult choosing the right therapist can be. Whatever challenges you're facing, I commend you on being proactive and beginning your search. My hope is that the information on my website will give you the knowledge and comfort you need to reach out and schedule a free fifteen-minute consultation to determine whether or not I might be the right therapist for you. Whatever you decide, I wish you well on your journey.
